Students were treated to a talk by Miss Ahluwalia, who works in school, where she explained the relevance of Diwali to them. The children made diyas (candle holders) which are symbolic in the festival.

The children watched a video about Rama and Sita and created their own mathematical Rangoli patterns both on paper and on the pavements. They also designed their own Mendhi patterns which are traditionally drawn on hands with henna.

The highlight of the week was an Indian meal where the children sampled various dishes and rated them!
